Antônio Luiz da Cunha Seabra

Co-chairman of the Board

Antônio Luiz da Cunha Seabra is the founder and controlling shareholder of Natura. He is also a member of the company’s board of directors.

An economics graduate, he worked as superintendent in Remington Rand do Brasil and as manager at Laboratórios Bionat, where he fell in love with cosmetics.

He founded Natura in 1969 at the age of 27. At the company’s first store in São Paulo, he directly received customers, giving them individual and personalized consultation services. Driven by his belief in the transformation potential of cosmetics and the valuable network of relationships he had built, Seabra helped transform Natura into one of the world’s biggest cosmetics companies, strongly committed to ethics, quality relations and sustainable development.

Pedro Luiz Barreiros Passos

Co-chairman of the Board

Natura’s Chairman of the Board of Directors and co-founder of the Company. Since 2013, he is also chairman of the Board of Directors of Totvs.

He graduated in Production Engineering at the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (USP) and specialized in Business Administration at Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV).

Passos dedicates himself to different entities and organizations. From 2009 to 2015, he was the President of the Industrial Development Studies Institute (IEDI), and in 2013 he was appointed as President of the SOS Mata Atlântica Foundation (SOS Atlantic Forest Foundation). He has also been serving on a number of Boards such as the Empreender Endeavor Institute’s since 2005, Institute for Technological Research (IPT) since 2006, Dom Cabral Foundation’s (FDC) since 2010, and São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), since 2013.

Mr. Passos is also a member of MEI (Business Mobilization through Innovation).

Guilherme Peirão Leal

Co-chairman of the Board

Guilherme Leal is a graduate in Business Administration by the Universidade de São Paulo and completed the Advanced Management Program at the Fundação Dom Cabral/INSEAD.

He is one of the founders and member of the Company’s Board of Directors. Over the last 25 years, he has participated in the constitution and corporate governance of several social and business organizations such as the Fundação Abrinq pelos Direitos da Criança e do Adolescente, Instituto Ethos – Companies and Social Responsibility- and Instituto Akatu para o Consumo Consciente. He also participated in institutions such as Ashoka – Social Entrepreneurship.

After 2000, he participated in various environmental institutions, such as the Advisory Council of FUNBIO (Fundo Brasileiro para Biodiversidade) and the WWF-Brasil, where he was a member of the council. In 2007, he was one of the founders of the Movimento Nossa Sao Paulo, which the goal is articulate various sectors of local society for a better city, fairer and more sustainable.

Since 2008, he is currently dedicated to structuring his legacy through the Instituto Arapyaú – IA – an organization dedicated to education and sustainable development.

In the 2010 elections, he was a candidate for the vice presidency of Brazil with Marina Silva.They received about 20 million votes, representing approximately 20% of the Brazilian electorate.

In 2012, he helped found the Network of Political Action for Sustainability (Rede de Ação Política pela Sustentabilidade), a non-partisan institution dedicated to identifying, provide training, monitor and gather the best current and future political leaders in Brazil. In the same year he became part of the B-Team, a group formed by international leaders that aims to engage corporations and leaders to the motto "People-Planet-Profit" and propose solutions that combine income and environmental responsibility.

Gilberto Mifano

Member of the Board (Independent Director)

Gilberto Mifano is a bachelor in business administration by the FGV-SP school of business administration. From 1994 to 2008, he was the CEO for BOVESPA – São Paulo Stock Exchange, and from 2008 to 2009, he was the Chairman of the board of administration of BM&FBOVESPA – Bolsa de Valores Mercadorias e Futuros S/A. Since 2009, he is an independent advisor for Cielo S/A, a consultant of Natura S/A's auditing, risk management and finance committee, and a member of Pragma Equity Ltda.'s advisory board. Since 2012, he is an external and independent advisor for TOTVS S/A and a member of the sustainability committee of the Banco Santander Brasil. In addition, he is a deliberative advisor for RAPS – Rede de Ação Política pela Sustentabilidade, and a tax advisor for the Instituto Natura, for the CIEB – Centro de Inovação para a Educação Brasileira, and for the Amigos da Poli endowment. He is a former chairman of the board of advisors of IBGC - Instituto Brasileiro de Governança Corporativa, an advisor for SEB Educacional S/A, Isolux Infraestrutura S/A, and Baterias Moura S/A. In the international market, for approximately 8 years, he was a member and vice-president of the executive committee of WFE – World Federation of Exchanges, and of FIAB – Federación Latino American de Bolsas.

Fábio Colletti Barbosa

Member of the Board (Independent Director)

Fábio Colletti Barbosa is graduated in Business Administration from FGV-SP Business School and holds an MBA from the Institute for Management and Development in Lausanne, Switzerland. He worked in companies such as Nestlé and Citibank. From 1993 to 1995 he was CEO of LTCB Latin America, a Brazilian subsidiary of The Long Term Credit Bank of Japan. He joined ABN AMRO Brasil in 1996 and took over as CEO of Banco Real em 1998, when it was acquired by the Dutch group. In 2006 he also became the executive responsible for ABN AMRO’s activities throughout Latin America. In 2008 he was appointed CEO of the Santander Brazil Group, consisting of Santander and Banco ABN AMRO Real. In 2011, he became Executive President of Abril S.A, where he remained until 2015. He was an independent member of the Board of Petrobrás between 2003 and 2011 and a member of the Economic and Social Development Council of the President of the Republic of Brazil. He is the Vice President Director of Social Programs in Fundação Itaú Social. He is on the board of Itaú Unibanco Holding, of Hering, Almar Participações and Companhia Brasileira de Metalurgia e Mineração (CBMM). He is also a member of the Advisory Council of Insper and President of the Instituto Empreender Endeavor.

Silvia Freire Dente da Silva Dias Lagnado

Member of the Board (Independent Director)

Graduated 1986 from Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo. She was Chief Marketing Officer and President of Bacardi Global Brands from June 2010 to November 2012. Worked at Unilever from 1986 to 2010 and was Executive Global Vice President of the Culinary Category, besides acting in a variety of other international positions during the 25 years she remained at the Company.
As Executive Vice President of the Culinary Category, located in London, oversaw the entire business unit covering soups, sauces, broths and frozen products. While working for Unilever, she was Senior Global Vice President of the brand Dove, located in United States, and Vice President of Latin America Deodorants, located in Buenos Aires. She was an independent member of the Boards of Nuelle Inc., a US-based company, Sapient based in Boston-US and Britvic Plc, a soft drink production and marketing company in the United Kingdom. She is currently an Executive Vice-President and Chief Marketing Officer of McDonalds Corporation.

Carla Schmitzberger

Member of the Board (Independent Director)

Degree in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University (Ithaca, NY) (1984). It has a specialization course in Strategic People Management by FDC / INSEAD (2000). It is ahead of Alpargatas sandals Business Unit (Havaianas and Dupé) for 10 years and is Director of the Company Statutory. She was at Citibank for eight years in positions of Vice President of Marketing and Products (Credicard), Vice President Marketing (Citibank Consumer) and responsible for Citibank cards portfolio. Last year, she had responsibility for Marketing and Decision Management for Latin America at Citi Consumer Bank. She worked for more than 11 years at Procter & Gamble in various countries (Germany, Canada and Brazil) and in different categories of products (detergents, hygiene and cleaning, cosmetics and diapers) and functions, the last Director Marketing Associate in Brazil . It was also at Johnson & Johnson for little more than two years.

Roberto de Oliveira Marques

Chairman of the Board 

Graduated in Business Administration, majoring in Marketing and Strategic Planning at the Getulio Vargas Foundation of São Paulo and has graduate courses from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He was executive vice president and president for North America Mondelez International, a company that globally markets brands such as Oreo, Halls, Lacta and Trident. Roberto worked for many years at Johnson & Johnson, where he held among other positions the global head of beauty brands, babies and medicine without prescription. Roberto is also a director of GMA - Grocery Manufacturer Association. He was previously director of the Consumer Health Care Products Association, the ENACTUS and Brazil-U.S. Business Council in U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Peter Bryce Saunders

Member of the Board (Independent Director)

Peter was born in Canada and graduated in Science, with a specialization in Chemistry from McGill University and has an MBA from the University of Western Ontario. He began his professional career in 1972 at T. Eaton Company Limited, where he held the positions of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Merchant. In 1998 he became Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the subsidiary The Body Shop Inc in the United States, becoming Chairman of the Body Shop International Plc since 2002. Since 2008 he has held positions as Chairman of Jack Wills, Chairman of Air Partner PLC, Lead Counsel of Godiva Chocolatier, as well as Non-Executive Director of the Canadian Tire Corporation, Second Cup and Total Wine & More.
